Fear The Walking Dead, Buried: Things To Note

17) Sadly, Mel’s judgement that Madison’s belief in the group’s ability to persevere being their downfall, apparently, proves true.
18) The fate of Mel’s ranch — Being destroyed in a fire — sounds reminiscent of the fate of Richard’s original group, revealed in The Walking Dead Season Seven episode, “Bury Me Here”.
19) This episode gets its name from the fact that Nick is buried by its end.
20) Naomi is, apparently, the sixth named character to die this season, as well as the second member of the group to die this season.
21) I say “apparently” because, well, we haven’t seen Naomi die, we’re simply told she died by Alicia. If previous showrunner Dave Erickson’s philosophy holds true, then, the fact we haven’t seen her die means that we can’t truly believe her dead yet.
22) Let’s talk about The Vultures for a minute. What, exactly did they do? Alicia gives us a hint when she says that Naomi “didn’t make it”, making it sound like The Diamond fell under violent circumstances. However, this seems uncharacteristic of what we’ve seen of The Vultures thus far and goes against their apparent M.O.. So, either they’re lying about simply warning other groups, or they decided to force the issue with Madison’s group, and, if so, why?
23) Yet again, The Vultures don’t refer to themselves by that name at any point in this episode.
