The interesting stuff from FearTWD 405
Cleaning guns. While I have never personally cleaned a gun before, this seems like an essential skill to have that doesn’t get shown enough on these shows. Treat your weapon well, and it will treat you well. That’s the saying, right? I bet John Dorie knows that saying.
The opening credits sequence. Seeing a low sun with two figures moving across the dusty earth makes sense considering this story revolves around John and Naomi. It’s awesome that the show took the time to make these fun intros each week.
“Soup is the blanket of food.” I’ve heard some weird sayings before, but this one is super odd. Is it because it spreads out? Is it because it is a food and a drink? Now I REALLY want to know why it’s the blanket! WHY JOHN!?! (The good folks on Twitter let me know that it is because it is warm and comforting. Thanks, social media!)
Guessing someone’s name. If you’ve ever seen the movie Dirty Work, you’ll know that guessing someone’s name can often turn out okay. While he guessed Laura instead of Mildred, it still seems like his charm with the novel approach may have worked a little bit.
