One character made a great impression during season 4 episode 5 of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead. Here is our MVP from ‘Laura’ on Sunday, May 13, 2018!

Typically, choosing the most valuable person from an episode of Fear The Walking Dead can be a real challenge. In a show with so many characters, there are usually many individuals who are in contention for the honor.

However, season 4 episode 5 focused primarily on two characters: John Dorie and Naomi (also known as Laura).  Heck, the title of the episode itself is a character from the episode, hence the name ‘Laura’.

Still, one individual stood out more than others when it came to episode 405. After some consideration, the decision was easy:

THE MVP FROM FEARTWD 405 IS JOHN DORIE

This entire episode did nothing but endear the wild west lawman to fans as he attempted to survive the zombie apocalypse while nursing Naomi back to health after finding her washed up on his shore.

Between him playing scrabble by himself, checking videos out of a store, and doing repairs to keep things as normal as possible, John drew fans into an episode that could have fallen flat since it featured two characters who weren’t a part of previous seasons.

It was fun watching John slowly fall for Naomi. Making up a name for her, stitching her up, making her soup, giving her his bed…all of those gestures just went to show us more of how genuinely great of a person he is.

His easy-going nature hid some of his shortfalls though. Fans learned in this episode about the guilt he has for killing someone after accidentally shooting a bad guy in the leg and having them bleed out.

He decided to be much more careful with guns after that, but that didn’t have any impact on his ability to shoot. There was a great reminder of his ability when he unloaded on walkers attacking Naomi, wiping out a group just as they were closing in on his houseguest.

The only other options for MVP during this episode were Naomi and Morgan, but Morgan was only in a small part of the episode while Naomi kept trying to run even though she admitted to having feelings for John.
