Fear The Walking Dead, Laura: Things To Note

1) When, exactly, is this taking place? While it’s obviously before the season began, how long before? Was this just before the season took place? Or, is this months, maybe even a year before?

2) In the title sequence, you see a pair of people walking together way in the background.

3) John has his clock wired to a singing fish, using it as an alarm. This is nice bit of ingenuity, and shows that John, on top of having been a cop, might also be a skilled electrician.

4) Whenever this flashback takes place, John already has his candies by this point, using them to flavor his coffee. Whether he always carried them around or if this habit was developed during the outbreak, we still don’t know.

5) Naomi murmurs about “having to get back”. Where to? Clearly not The Diamond, as this takes place before she meets The Group, so…where?

6) Naomi’s gash looks like it came from some kind of blade. This raises another question: Was she attacked by a hostile?  Furthermore, did she get that gash escaping from an attack on her previous group? Will we find out about this later in the season?
