Five underestimated women from The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead has created some of the strongest females like Maggie, Michonne, Tara, Rosita, and Carol but we cannot forget those often overlooked.

With filming for season 9 for underway, it’s clear The Walking Dead is showing no signs of stopping. Since season 1, many characters have come and gone, bringing with them their own strengths and weaknesses.

While fans will never forget the day Carol managed to infiltrate Terminus to save her friends or when Maggie took the first steps of taking Gregory’s place in leading The Hilltop, there are many other women who by their own right deserve to be remembered.

The five underestimated women from AMC’s The Walking Dead that we talk about here are listed in the order they appeared on the show. From one who sacrificed her own happiness to spare another to one taking a stand against an enemy; these women broke barriers and exceeded expectations.

Sometimes strength doesn’t necessarily mean who carriers the larger gun or has the stronger voice. Sometimes it means being able to adapt and survive for the sake of others.
