Madison’s History of Bad Decisions Catch Up

Back in episode 404, “Buried,” we learn that the surviving members of the group found themselves at a crossroads. There was a point in all three of their lives when they believe they could have left Madison and the Stadium, if they had left then Nick would be alive.

One of the reasons the group was considering breaking away from the Stadium was that they didn’t feel like it was working out. Nick and Luciana talked about randomly picking a destination on the map. Strand had a car packed up already in case things went wrong. And Alicia’s time with Naomi taught her that you should never, ever feel comfortable because catastrophe is always hiding around the corner.

While it looks like Madison might be dead, it’s possible that she made a decision that the group didn’t agree with, and instead of going along with it, the group left her alone with her bad ideas. That would explain why the group has a guilty look about them when they talk about the past.
