On Fear The Walking Dead Naomi is a Vulture but was she always one or did she join them after things went bad at the diamond?

Naomi’s loyalty on Fear The Walking Dead seems to shift in the moment so it’s had to know if she was always a Vulture or joined them after whatever went bad at the diamond. She seems to genuinely want to help Madison and Strand when she leads them to the FEMA camp. And she did stay at the diamond and set up an infirmary. But then how did she end up a Vulture? Was she always one?

In the last episode of Fear The Walking Dead ‘Just In Case’ Naomi drives the vehicle that she had packed back at the diamond to the Vulture rendezvous point. So she had to have been in on their emergency meetup plan. But she wasn’t told that The Vultures planned a standoff with Alicia, Strand and Luciana.

That could indicate that she survived whatever happened at the diamond and joined The Vultures after that. If that’s what happened it would make sense that they wouldn’t tell her of their plans to kill Alicia and the others because they wouldn’t trust her loyalty yet.

If she had been a Vulture all along she probably would have been told about the plan. And she probably wouldn’t have led Madison and Strand to the FEMA camp. Instead she would have led The Vultures there because there were a lot of valuable supplies still inside.

Where Is Madison?

In the storyline that is revealing what happened at the diamond it looked like The Vultures had given up on the diamond. The last time they showed the diamond in ‘Just In Case’ The Vultures were packing up to leave. So what could have happened that destroyed the stadium community if it wasn’t The Vultures? Or was it The Vultures?

They don’t necessarily need to attack a settlement to get the supplies inside. They do have an army of the undead caged up. If they released walkers and directed them at the stadium that could be the event that caused the people in the stadium to flee.

It’s looking more and more like Naomi and Madison fled the stadium together. But Naomi is on her own and has the car that Madison told Alicia to pack with supplies and leave as a getaway vehicle. So something must have gone down that threw the two women together. And now only one of them is around. So where is Madison?

She could be dead, of course. After the shocking death of Nick Clark earlier this season it’s clear that any of the originals could be killed off. But Madison’s conspicuous absence makes it seem like she is still alive. She could be injured, captured, or just out there alone trying to make her way back to her family. With only two episodes left before the midseason break some answers about Naomi’s association with The Vultures and Madison’s whereabouts should be coming pretty quickly on Fear The Walking Dead.
