We learned a lot about John Dorie in the first six episodes of Fear the Walking Dead season 4. Here’s what we love the most about our gentle cowboy fisherman.

John Dorie has been a welcome addition to the Fear the Walking Dead cast. We have been learning more and more about John Dorie – not like the fish – over the course of each episode. It was seeing him in “Laura” that really endeared him to fans all over, and now, as his life hangs in the balance at the end of “Just In Case,” fans hold out hope that he pulls through. (From the look of the preview for episode 407, he does make it. But on this show we don’t know anything for sure!)

There’s no question that John Dorie is like the Clark Kent of The Walking Dead universe. He’s an optimist who is probably the last Boy Scout around. He’s the guy who swoops in and saves the day before riding off into the sunset.

Fans have been enjoying Garret Dillahunt’s turn as John Dorie, and it’s not surprising because he just might be the nicest guy in the entire apocalypse. Here are five things we love about John Dorie!
