It’s nice when you have someone around who knows how to do stuff. “Stuff” is a relative term, because when you’re in the middle of the apocalypse you never know what you might need.
John Dorie is your man.
From meeting him in his tricked out truck to taking a trip back to the past when he lived in his luxury apocalypse cabin, the man clearly knows how to build things. He had a working television with movies so that he could enjoy movie night, complete with flavored popcorn. He can fish, he can shoot, and he can make things. Clearly, he knows how to survive. People like John Dorie are important because you never know when you need to MacGyver something using whatever materials are available.
