Katelyn Nacon, a regular who plays Enid on AMC’s The Walking Dead, has recently expressed interest in playing DC Comics character Batgirl.

It’s a good thing when you’re known for involvement in massive projects. Katelyn Nacon knows this all too well after being in the viral sensation Too Many Cooks as well as AMC’s hugely popular zombie survival drama series The Walking Dead.

In addition to a music career and a role on the show t@gged, Nacon still wants to put a little more on her plate, offering up a suggested character she could play if she ever joined the DC movie universe.

Recently, she was asked which superhero she would love to play the most by @spideynacon on Twitter.

Her response was an interesting one, as she chose a character that hasn’t quite been utilized in the current DC universe as much as others.

While Joss Whedon has stepped away from the DC/Warner Bros’ planned Batgirl movie, that doesn’t mean the film is dead by any means. If the concept is ever brought to life, Nacon may be an interesting choice for the role.

On TV, Nacon often gets cast in roles as a dark and moody teenager when her real-life counterpart is one of the most positive and bubbly people fans could ever meet. Since she can do both convincingly, this would open up DC to have some creative liberties with Batgirl the way they might not be able to with a less-established younger actress in that role.

Right now, this should just be considered something fun to think about. Even if the comic book movie ever gets off the ground with new writer Christina Hodson at the helm according to Deadline, Nacon would need to beat out a massive number of candidates to play Barbara Gordon on the big screen, including Lindsay Lohan.

Still, it would be fun to see another regular from The Walking Dead make the jump to the DC Comics Extended Universe and Marvel Cinematic Universe along with Danai Gurira, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Jon Bernthal and Cooper Andrews, who have taken on roles based on popular comic books.
