Skybound celebrates 15 years of The Walking Dead with a new lineup of Rick Grimes action figures that will debut at San Diego Comic Con 2018.

The Walking Dead celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2018 and Skybound announced a special set of limited edition action figures in partnership with McFarlane Toys that will commemorate the evolution of Rick Grimes over the years. The special set of figures will debut at the Skybound booth at San Diego Comic Con in July 2018.

The set, which will go for $100, is comprised of four Rick Grimes figures from various points in The Walking Dead’s 15 year history. There’s Sheriff Rick, All Out War Rick with a 15th anniversary t-shirt, New Beginnings Rick from issue 149, and Rick as Negan from the Charlie Adlard cover of issue 163. There will be two sets available: a normal color set and a bloody variant. Consummate fans will need both sets, of course!

As you can see, all four figures celebrate different iterations of Rick Grimes over the years. There’s something to be said about the Rick as Negan figure, though. The figure’s expression really brings the look together.

This news is especially timely given the rumors swirling around Andrew Lincoln’s departure from The Walking Dead television series on AMC. However, this limited edition box set also serves as a reminder of how different these two characters are, especially when fans of the television series see Rick Grimes’ Captain Hook-esque hand. Comic book Rick Grimes and his television alter ego are like night and day.

Not surprisingly, this limited edition set will go fast as fans and collectors rush to add this set to their collections. Given that these sets are a SDCC exclusive, expect stock to be limited and don’t expect them to be available throughout the entire convention. (Most exclusives sell out early)
