#2: Wanting to be violent to people over things they don’t need.

Violence is, sadly, a way of life in a zombie apocalypse: There will zombies, hostiles, crazies, etc. and not fighting them is asking for them to kill you. That said, there are times for it and times not for it.

A group of hostiles come knocking on your door with lethal intent? Okay. Time to fight.

A hostile has killed a member of your group for no good reason? Okay. Time to fight.

A group has stuff that you do not need? Yea–no. Not time to fight.

I can understand, on some level, the need to have a little extra in a zombie apocalypse. Any number of things can happen to some of your supplies that suddenly leave you with far less supplies than you were anticipating.

However, looking at what The Vultures had…I highly doubt that, barring losing several of the vehicles in their convoy, that they would be hurting for anything. Look at the things they were taking: Food, weapons, windows, light bulbs, hell, friggin’ door hinges! Did they look desperate for stuff? I don’t think so.

So…why did Ennis decide to destroy The Diamond, which went completely against The Vultures code? My first (Though, not my last) guess? Greed. Ennis knew Madison’s group had found a ton of supplies at Naomi’s old base, and he wanted them.

It didn’t matter that The Vultures had no need of them. It didn’t matter that they could have easily found more supplies by stripping the next town over. What mattered was that Madison’s group had stuff, and Ennis wanted it.

If you meet or know someone in the zombie apocalypse who’s willing to attack or even kill someone just to get some stuff that they don’t even need, don’t waste time talking, that time would be better spent fighting.
