Release date and info: The Walking Dead season 8 Blu-Ray/DVD set

Fans wanting to own a copy of AMC’s The Walking Dead season 8 on Blu-Ray or DVD can get the set with variant covers and bonus features in August 2018.
Season 8 of The Walking Dead saw an explosive conclusion to All-Out War between the survivors and Negan’s group, The Saviors. Soon, you can have a copy on Blu-Ray or DVD to re-live some of those intense showdowns anytime you want.
On the official website of Skybound, it was announced that The Walking Dead: The Complete Eighth Season would be coming to stores everywhere on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 with pre-orders being available now.
The discs will come in two different styles, The first version will be the standard cover that will be found most everywhere and features Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne from the popular AMC zombie survival drama series.
The second version will be exclusive to Best Buy which pits Rick, the leader of the survivors, going head to head with Negan of The Saviors with their weapons drawn similar to the fights they had during the season. Also on the cover are walker hands and rubble at the bottom reminding fans of the close calls they had battling one-on-one in a dark zombie-infested building.
Right now, fans can pre-order the set for $42.99 on Blu-Ray or $37.99 on DVD on the Amazon website. Prices for pre-order vary significantly between the retailers, so it is highly advised that consumers compare costs before ordering.
While the special features on the Blu-Ray and DVD sets have not been revealed, it can be very likely that there will be videos honoring some of the more important scenes from the season as well as behind-the-scenes interviews and more.
In addition, fans may want to wait to see what the limited edition set will look like upon its release. In the past, those sets have included statues created by Todd MacFarlane featuring walkers from the season.
