Althea is an intriguing character on Fear the Walking Dead, but her character provides opportunities for more crossovers with The Walking Dead in the future.

Fear the Walking Dead season 4 introduced fans to quite a few new faces, and Maggie Grace’s Althea was one of the more intriguing characters of the new group. Her background as a journalist has inspired her to document the apocalypse as only a journalist can, but her stash of tapes yields some interesting possibilities for future surprise guests and crossovers with members of The Walking Dead cast.

Eagle-eyed fans will notice that there are some familiar names in her box of tapes. “D. Salazar” is one, while another tape is marked “Abe/Doctor.” This leads to some very exciting possibilities for the show’s future in terms of cameo appearances.

The Fear showrunners mentioned that fans will find out what happened to Daniel Salazar at some point in season 4, so it’s entirely possible that we’ll see him on a tape. We already know that Althea has been all over the Southwest, so there’s a good chance that she ran into Daniel at some point in her travels. And who knows? Maybe Qaletaqa and Crazy Dog are out there, too.

Al’s tape marked “Abe/Doctor” is another very intriguing Easter Egg. Could it be that Althea ran into Abraham and Eugene at some point? We know the duo traveled through Texas, so perhaps she ran into them, too. It would be a lot of fun to see Abraham and Eugene before they reached Rick and the gang on The Walking Dead.

One of the reasons Al’s tapes offer such a great opportunity for future crossovers with The Walking Dead cast is that it’s much more believable that she was traveling across the country filming people. It would be too much of a coincidence for Daniel Salazar to show up in Texas after the two groups separated in Southern California. But a taped interview with him is a definite possibility.
