The Walking Dead: Our World AR game gets an official release date

Fans of AR games like Pokemon Go and the undead will want to pay close attention to the release of The Walking Dead: Our World in July of 2018.
Augmented reality games have become one of the most popular mobile game types. Thanks to the success of games like Pokemon Go, Ingress, and Jurassic World Alive, more franchises have entered the fray, including The Walking Dead.
A game titled Our World was announced which will pit mobile device users against the undead in different locations, much like how people catch critters in the massively popular game Pokemon Go.
Gamers will be exploring their own neighborhoods with the help of familiar characters from AMC’s The Walking Dead in order to stay alive by collecting stashes, finding missions, and rescuing survivors.
This highly anticipated game finally received a release date according to the official website of the game, and that date is July 12, 2018.
Available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, a new teaser was also released on the YouTube channel of AMC:
The Walking Dead: Our World encourages players to cooperate with each other in order to clear large groups of walkers while collecting their favorite characters from AMC’s show, including Daryl Dixon, Michonne, and Rick Grimes as they attempt to complete weekly challenges.
A more thorough breakdown of the game will be available following its global release, but for now, the game seems to be one of the more interesting mobile releases coming out in the near future.
