Update: Kim Dickens will not appear on Fear the Walking Dead SDCC panel
Details about Fear the Walking Dead’s footprint at San Diego Comic-Con are slowly being revealed, but Kim Dickens will not be there.
She might be gone from Fear the Walking Dead but Kim Dickens is not forgotten, and despite earlier reports she will not be making an appearance on the Fear the Walking Dead panel at San Diego Comic-Con in July. Deadline reported early on that Dickens would be on the panel even though Madison was killed off in the midseason finale. But that has turned out to not be true as AMC releases details about the panel and the cast members in attendance.
The full Fear the Walking Dead cast lineup includes Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Lennie James, Maggie Grace, Jenna Elfman, and Garret Dillahunt. Showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg will also be there along with Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Robert Kirkman, Dave Alpert and Gale Anne Hurd.

The Fear Family lost its matriarch in the midseason finale after the first half of season 4 had fans wondering why Madison was alive and well in the past but mysteriously absent from the present storyline. The midseason finale revealed that Madison sacrificed herself to save her family as they fled the onslaught of Infected that had been released into the Stadium. Madison’s loss in the past storyline helped to explain why fans didn’t see her in the present, but it also explained why the survivors acted the way they did. There’s no question something bad had happened to Strand, Alicia and Luciana, and everything was confirmed as the first half of season 4 came to an end.
Fans can expect a new trailer for the second half of Fear the Walking Dead season 4 from the SDCC panel, which will likely take place Friday, July 20. Stay tuned for more updates about Fear the Walking Dead and San Diego Comic-Con as more information is revealed ahead of the event.
