Cyndie and Oceanside

Oceanside has been severely absent during the last season of The Walking Dead now led by Cyndie. Initially, it would seem that was intentional for greater buildup during the season finale.

They arrived guns a blazing to aid Rick against The Saviors seemingly fitting in well with the rest of the group. This is a stark contrast from earlier that same season.

Enid and Aaron attempted to convince the group of women to join them which didn’t start well when Enid killed Oceanside’s initial leader Natania to save Aaron. Though Oceanside made it clear they would not help, Aaron refused to give up.

Sending Enid back to Alexandria, he remained close by to make one last-ditch effort to change their minds. Now under Cyndie’s leadership, the women may be able to break boundaries and return to the world they hid from.

Considering it is a large community of women either they will remain at Oceanside or some will move into Alexandria. Rick may have his hands full again handling the group unless Tara takes the role as an ambassador of sorts.

Tara, Enid, and Aaron may have a more solid foundation with Oceanside but that might not be enough. Oceanside will need to cooperate completely which means being in constant contact with perhaps even sending certain members out when supplies run low.

Even if Tara becomes a middleman between both communities Rick will need to either test the women’s loyalty or simply trust them because they arrived at the war’s final hour.
