Viewers of the undead series have been wondering how the story will unfold following the end of the war with The Saviors now that Negan is at their mercy and the immediate threat has been relieved.
Considering the losses that were experienced during season 8, viewers hoping for a story that follows the plot from the popular comic could be out of luck since it appears the upcoming episodes will be more of a remix from the established comic storylines.
Still, it will be interesting to see the direction of the story as well as how the characters will respond to a possible time of peace in the communities. With the future wide open, AMC has an opportunity to tell interesting stories unique to the show to help captivate viewers.
