Will Dwight appear somewhere else in The Walking Dead Universe?

In The Walking Dead’s most recent fan mailbag post, a hint might have been given as to where Dwight will be headed next.

In the season 8 finale of The Walking Dead, Daryl gave Dwight the keys to a truck and told him to go find Sherry. In the Walking Dead’s fan mailbag post this past week, a fan had asked what had happened to Dwight, and if his story would be continued in the upcoming season. According to the fan mailbag, it looks like Dwight is on the move:

"Don’t hold your breath on seeing Dwight anytime soon. But that doesn’t mean he won’t show up in another aspect of The Walking Dead universe sometime in the future."

This cryptic answer leaves fans wondering if Dwight might be headed to Fear The Walking Dead. This theory is extremely possibly since Dwight obviously wouldn’t be the first character from The Walking Dead to crossover to the hit spinoff show. Morgan Jones crossed over to Fear The Walking Dead after the end of The Walking Dead season 8 finale and can be seen when the show returns to AMC on August 12th.

To add even more speculation to this theory, Scott Gimple recently talked to TV Line regarding Dwight’s whereabouts:

"I will say definitley, he’s not dead,so you never know. But I shant go deeper into it than that."

Gimple’s answer seems like he is definitely keeping Dwight’s whereabouts a very tight secret. So fans may just have to keep their eyes peeled during Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead this year in order to find out where Dwight is.

It would be really cool getting to see Dwight come across Morgan and the rest of the Fear gang, but who knows what might happen?
