Fear the Walking Dead has been renewed for season 5 and the cast and crew was quick to post messages of thanks to the fans who made it happen.

AMC announced that Fear the Walking Dead has been renewed for season 5 at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Saturday, and the cast and crew couldn’t hide their excitement about the news. The cast took to social media to share the news and offer thanks to the fans who have joined them on this journey.

Fear the Walking Dead is set to return on August 12 for the second half of season 4, but news of a season 5 pickup is great news as the showrunners plan for what comes next for the survivors. With new faces joining the cast and lots of action planned for 4B, it’s nice knowing that the story can continue into the next season.

It’s not surprising that the cast of Fear the Walking Dead hit social media to spread the good news and thank fans for their support.

Colman Domingo posted a picture with the cast, noting that “many wonderful comrades helped us get here. For all your tremendous efforts, we raise a toast to you.”

Garret Dillahunt is thankful for “all the eyeballs” as he looks forward – literally – to season 5:

Jenna Elfman shared the same video as Colman Domingo, but she added that she’s “very excited” about the new season:

Danay Garcia offered a heartfelt message to fans, thanking them for the love. “I’m so grateful to keep exploring the apocalypse with you guys.”

With another season to look forward to, fans of Fear the Walking Dead can watch the second half of season 4 knowing that the show will continue into season 5. What will happen is anyone’s guess, of course, but after a thrilling first half of season 4, all bets are off moving forward.
