The group may need each other more than ever during season 4B of Fear The Walking Dead, but togetherness might not be possible for the survivors.

The first 8 episodes from season 4 of Fear The Walking Dead tore the Clark family apart when they were tested by The Vultures, with only Alicia standing as the sole survivor from the bloodline heading into the second half of the season.

Now, with those episodes right around the corner, many fans are hoping that the characters will finally have the time to relax and settle down together to establish and home base and gather themselves after the previous events.

However, that won’t be the case.

A recent submission to The Walking Dead mailbag should have fans very concerned about their favorite survivors on the AMC zombie survival drama series. Here is the question tweeted out by Kerri A Azbell:

responded in the mailbag with an interesting answer to this question, and one that could prove to be very beneficial to developing characters and plot:

"“YES, our characters will be separated AND traveling throughout most of the season. In fact, we’ll see a few other states pretty early on in the back half.”"

The fact that the characters will be spread out so much that the show will cover a few other states is a pretty remarkable feat. Typically, unless the group is traveling together, the show is centralized on a group of people, making this season unique.

This could be due to the crazy weather fans saw in the Comic Con trailer or perhaps something else, but this could be a time when the survivors need to split up and survive, much like what happened following the fall of the prison on The Walking Dead.

Either way, seeing new combinations of survivors in interesting situations could go a long way toward developing the characters and creating dynamics for the show to play off later down the road, especially if some differences are found to create conflict.
