7) John tells Naomi/June (During what he thinks will be his last words) that he “used up his nine lives long ago”. How many close calls has he had? Were they before or after the outbreak began? Will we see any of them in flashbacks?

8) When we return to the flashback, Madison asks Al if she’s lost anyone she cared about yet, who quickly (And conspicuously) turns the question back around on Madison. This raises a question: Who did Al lose? Was it the same person whose tape she desperately searched for in the episode “Good Out Here”? Will we learn in the second half of the season?

9) Madison’s story to Al about Nick and Alicia trying to rehabilitate a wounded bird seems like a parallel for a few things: Nick and Alicia’s quest to save Mel, Madison’s desire to build them a home, and Nick, Alicia, Strand, and Luciana’s optimism to hang on to The Diamond (Which they all, ultimately, end up regretting).

10) During her interview, Madison mentions staying at a Save Lots, a store chain that’s appeared before in The Walking Dead, specifically, serving as the base for a group of bandits in Telltale’s The Walking Dead Game.

11) Morgan references someone who told him he’d be around people again. This person is Rick, who made this prediction to Morgan at the beginning of the season premiere episode, “What’s Your Story?”.
