Fear The Walking Dead, No One’s Gone: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
12) Naomi tells John her name is June, and that “Naomi” was just an alias. Well, considering that’s, technically, her third name now…how can we be sure “June” isn’t an alias, too?
13) With Cole, Viv, and Douglas apparently dying in the attack, they make the ninth, tenth, and eleventh named characters to die this season, thus far.
14) Madison leading the horde of infected into The Diamond is something of a reversal of the Season One finale, “The Good Man”, where Daniel Salazar led a massive horde out of the Los Angeles Arena.
15) While this episode gets its name from Madison’s final words, “No one’s gone until they’re gone”, it’s a philosophy she’s preached since the second episode of the season, “Another Day In The Diamond”, where she applied it to Naomi/June.
16) Strand saying that Madison’s determination wasn’t about The Diamond itself, but about the the people in it, reflects a lesson Dr. Eastman taught to Morgan in The Walking Dead Season Six episode, “Here’s Not Here”: “Everything’s about people, everything in this life that’s worth a damn“.
17) With Madison’s death, our rolling tally is now up to twelve named characters that have died. Man, that’s sad.
And, with that, we’ve concluded our Things To Note for this week. Was there anything you missed? Was there anything I missed? Feel free to throw in your things to note in the comments!
