Fear The Walking Dead saw Morgan trying to recruit people to come to Alexandria but it was a different decision that makes him the MVP from episode 409.

Morgan has made a huge impact since arriving on Fear The Walking Dead. His actions have helped to introduce John Dorie and Althea to the group in the first half of season 4 and he kept Alicia from killing June in cold blood.

The midseason premiere aired on Sunday, August 12, 2018 and featured Morgan going to each of the survivors to try to talk them into joining Rick Grimes and his former survivors in Alexandria, Virginia.

He was seen asking everyone to join, showing how the survivors lived their fractured existence after the fall of the baseball diamond and the death of Madison and Nick due to the actions of The Vultures.

Morgan approached them all respectfully, but his offer was declined by everyone. Either they had other plans to settle down, had an agenda of their own, or were in no shape mentally or physically to make the journey.

Despite all that, Althea was still offering to drive Morgan to his former community. However, she didn’t end up having to make that trip.

It took some convincing from Alica, but Morgan understood that these survivors needed him as well, and abandoning them at this time would be wrong. He went on a dangerous mission with Alicia so she wouldn’t be alone.

But it was his ability to see positivity in everyone that needed to be commended. Morgan saw qualities in each survivor that would have been beneficial to Rick and the gang in Alexandria or possibly people who would have benefitted from other survivors in the area.

However, Morgan sees a lot of work to be done with the current group of survivors. A fractured group of seemingly good people stuck in a rut could be the building blocks for another great community if they can get their act together. And perhaps Morgan will be key in making that happen.
