What Should They Do With Charlie?
Charlie is a problem that the remaining survivors need to deal with. Even though Charlie killed Nick and was a spy for The Vultures she’s still a traumatized child just trying to survive like everyone else. Alicia, Strand, and Luciana are pretty ruthless when it comes to survival, but can they kill Charlie? Or abandon her? Should they?
Sonya says:
"I think that at this point Luciana, Strand, and Alicia are fighting their urge to kill Charlie. She was at least partially responsible for Madison’s death at the stadium and she was totally responsible for Nick’s death. It’s totally understandable that they would want revenge and would want to kill her. But I think ultimately each of them still has enough humanity left that they couldn’t morally bring themselves to kill a child, especially a child they know is severely traumatized. They could possibly abandon her but I don’t honestly think they will do that either. Madison really cared about Charlie and wanted to help her and protect her. And I think that out of respect for Madison and out of basic humanity they will try to make sure that she is safe even if they don’t want to take her in directly. I think Charlie is in a good place with John and June, and that there is redemption for her there."
Sara says:
"Charlie has really earned a bad name for herself with Alicia and Luciana for sure! She killed Nick, and that can’t be forgotten, however, it will be interesting to see if Alicia and Luciana forgive her at some point. As we have seen in The Walking Dead children are not safe from anything just because they are a child. In the episode “The Grove” Carol had to put Lizzie down after Lizzie had killed her own sister and became a huge threat to the group. Lizzie may have been too far gone in order to recover in the world of the infected, but is it possible that Charlie isn’t? I don’t think that Alicia, Strand, or Luciana will hesitate even a little bit to kill or abandon Charlie if she tries to kill another member of the group again. However, it may not come down to that if Charlie gets the help that she needs and is able to realize that she is no longer apart of the Vultures anymore and that she is with a better group of people who may give her another chance at survival."
