Fear the Walking Dead 410 recap: Close Your Eyes

This week’s episode of Fear the Walking Dead takes us on an emotional roller coaster with Alicia and Charlie. Here’s your recap of “Close Your Eyes.”

Make no mistake about it: This storm is nothing less than a hurricane and no one will last long outside. This week’s episode opens with a shot of the outdoors taken through a door. The door leads to a house, and the lone figure in the rain turns out to be Alicia. She comes inside, soaking wet, and looks around. It’s quiet. Too quiet. She cautiously goes deeper inside the house. There is bedding gathered around the fireplace and there is food in the kitchen…along with an Infected man.

Alicia kills the Infected and drags the body outside. Three more come after her and she kills them using objects from inside the house. She takes them outside and leaves the bodies in the rain, lined up next to each other. Inside the house there’s a picture over the mantle of the same family in the same position, only in the picture they’re alive and smiling. Not so much anymore. She knocks the photos off the walls. No sense in being reminded of what was.

Cue the credits: The hurricane is bearing down on the field and one of the power poles falls down as wind whips the rain over the screen and even sends some of the show’s logo flying away.
