Fear the Walking Dead 410 recap: Close Your Eyes

Alicia goes into the bathroom and peels off her soaked coat. She starts to dry off when she spots more photos on the walls. These have to go, too. She dumps them into a laundry basket and tosses them outside with the bodies. When she returns to the house the front door won’t close so she goes off in search of tools. The basement is already flooded with several inches of water, but she’s able to find wood and nails.

After the door is barricaded she goes to the kitchen and gets some food. There’s plenty to choose from, but as she’s making food she hears a noise upstairs. Alicia hasn’t checked upstairs yet and it sounds like someone might be up there.

Alicia scouts from room to room. She goes inside one of the kids’ bedrooms and sees a window on the far wall. She can hear one of the Infected, and it turns out that there is an Infected impaled on a tree outside the second story window. But there is also someone else inside the room. She calls out a warning to whoever is inside, saying they have a chance to leave or she will kill him or her. All she wanted, she says, is to be left alone. “You should have left me alone,” she says when no one answers.

Suddenly Charlie emerges from the closet and Alicia tackles her. “Why are you here?” Alicia yells as Charlie runs away. “You can’t be here,” she continues, her voice cracking. Seeing Charlie is the last thing Alicia needed. Anything holding her together is starting to crack at this point. Charlie runs away.

Alicia gathers up some supplies and breaks down the barricade on the door. She runs out into the rain and tries to get into the car but the door is jammed. The more she tries to open it, the more it sticks. When it finally opens she flies backwards and hits her head on a rock, losing consciousness.
