When Alicia wakes up she’s inside. She’s dry. The door has been fixed. She grabs her weapon and goes back upstairs. The bedroom door is locked and she demands to know why Charlie brought her back inside. Why would she do that, and why won’t she talk? When she gets no response, Alicia levels with her through the door. Madison died saving Alicia’s life. She saved everyone, but she had to die because Charlie led the Vultures to the Stadium and she lied to them. And she killed Nick. Alicia tells her how she watched Nick die, helpless, as he realized he was going to die. Nick was in pain and the person he wanted to save is the one who killed him. Alicia admits she can’t send Charlie out into the storm, but if Charlie remains in the house then she will probably end up killing her. She doesn’t necessarily want to kill her, but she probably will. Alicia is trying to follow Madison’s legacy but she doesn’t know if she can.

Charlie has a gun with her, and she goes to the door. She’s terrified. Alicia says she might be a kid but she knows what she did. She calls Charlie “garbage” and a “waste of a person.” Alicia wants her to know what she did and live with that. She can never, ever make up for it. Charlie is in tears listening to Alicia’s words.

Later, Alicia tries to build a fire but the covers on the windows keep blowing against the house. She tries to secure them with the nails but the wind is too strong. When she turns she sees that the bodies outside have been covered and the pictures are gone.

Upstairs, Charlie pulls the photos from their frames, dries them carefully and lays them out on the carpet. She studies each photo, each one featuring a happy memory. Alicia comes in and demands to know why she covered the bodies and why she won’t talk. She sees the photos and asks if she knew these people. But there’s no time for small talk. She needs Charlie’s help.

Outside, Charlie holds the cover while Alicia hammers. Unfortunately, the noise starts to attract Infected, who approach the house despite the rain. Alicia pulls Charlie inside and barricades the door, promising to try again later.

Alicia works on the fire while Charlie stands by the window. The Infected are at the window. Alicia asks for Charlie’s coat, saying that she is trying to do the right thing by drying it. Charlie tries to walk away so Alicia yells at her, and Charlie gives her the coat. She finds the gun inside. It’s the same gun she killed Nick with. Alicia aims it at Charlie’s head, telling her that she told her that she didn’t want her around. She wonders if Charlie is there to kill her. But that’s not the case at all. Charlie shakes her head, and Alicia sends her away.
