There was a lot to unpack in Fear The Walking Dead Close Your Eyes and this week’s round table discussion digs deep into the confrontation between Alicia and Charlie.

Still stunned by Fear The Walking Dead’s latest episode “Close Your Eyes”? So are we. The episode featured stunning performances from both Alycia Debnam-Carey and Alexa Nisenson. Alexa, who plays Charlie, delivered a performance that is even more staggering when you consider that she was just 11 years old when that episode was shot. There are grown actresses who can’t deliver that kind of performance in tough conditions, like being up to your neck in water in a basement.

Both Charlie and Alicia had a lot of emotional processing to do in this episode, and Alicia carried most of the emotional load as she battled her instinct to kill Charlie in revenge for the deaths of Nick and her mother.

Knowing that Madison would have wanted her to protect Charlie and care for her no matter what Charlie did Alicia had to decide if she would give in to her rage or fight through it to become a living legacy for Madison.
