Fear The Walking Dead introduced a slew of new characters in episode 411 The Code but did all the regulars make it out alive?

Fear The Walking Dead lightened things up a little this week after last week’s masterclass in dark drama courtesy of the amazing Alycia Debnam-Carey, Alexa Nisenson and some stunning direction by veteran The Walking Dead director Michael Satrazemis. Fans got to see Morgan’s journey through the storm and as he started and Al started off for Alexandria. Along the way, they met some new characters.

The twins, as they refer to themselves, are hard to figure out but once you realize that their only motive is profit their actions become a little clearer. And Jim, the beer maker, is only concerned with getting somewhere where he can make beer. There is a lot of potential for a broship between Jim and Eugene if Morgan really takes this crew back to Alexandria. But since it’s unlikely this crew can be trusted Morgan may not give them accurate directions back to the communities.

Although it’s unlikely that these truckers and the beer king would be any kind of match for Maggie, Rick, Michonne, Daryl, or Negan. It would be very fun to see them try any shenanigans at The Hilltop, Alexandria, The Kingdom or The Sanctuary.

So there were no major deaths this week, just the arrival of some new characters that seem like they will be great additions to the cast. The expanding cast raises the hope that somehow this group of ragtag strangers and loners will be able to form a cohesive group.

Morgan Doesn’t Die

While there were thankfully no major deaths Morgan had a majorly close call when the trucker twins and the beer king left him in a very precarious situation. The beermaker knocked Morgan down a hill into a group of walkers. Morgan’s hands were zip-tied but he managed to scramble up on the roof of a vehicle. Surrounded by walkers, zip tied and weaponless he was stuck there. The trucker twins left him there after getting what they thought were directions to Alexandria.

After hours of sitting there contemplating his mortality and his choices Morgan went into ninja mode and made a move. He leaped over the walkers, trying to get jump far enough up the hill to get clear, but it was too steep. He saw a knife and some other materials scattered nearby with a broken mile marker sign. He managed to get to the knife and cut himself free, then he used the mile marker sign to kill the walkers.

dark. Next. Was FearTWD 411 any good?

Morgan doesn’t die, but tonight he had an extremely close call. And it looks like there will be more close calls for other members of the group in the next Fear The Walking Dead.
