Overall impression of Fear The Walking Dead 413

There were quite a few storylines going on during this week’s episode, but the main plot this week was John and Strand attempting to cross an alligator-infested lake to get to a spot where they may be able to meet up with their friends.

The dynamic between the two characters was interesting since one is extremely negative while the other is positive. However, the end of the episode found John a bit defeated and struggling mentally, especially because of Strand’s words.

Meanwhile, Luciana’s story was a beautiful one. She found Polar Bear, the man who drove the truck before Sarah and Wendell, and granted his last wish. In doing so, she earned his respect and got several notebooks full of tips for survival and was able to get information to contact her friends.

There were more positive things than negative stuff from this episode. Even the Filthy Woman is continuing to get more interesting, using the group’s own information and weaponry against them in her efforts to eliminate the weak and those who help the weak.

As a whole, this was a solid episode that moved the plot forward and got more of the group together. The question of how the survivors held up in the semi and what it all means for the survivors waiting to get picked up will be quite interesting.

EPISODE GRADE: 8.1/10
