MVP from Fear the Walking Dead episode 413: Luciana doesn’t give up

Despite some great performances in season 4 episode 13 of Fear The Walking Dead, one character did enough to be the Most Valuable Person from “Blackjack”.

There was a lot going on during season 4 episode 13 of Fear The Walking Dead on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018. With the survivors attempting to regroup after separating due to a disastrous storm that tore the area apart.

During this episode, a major threat continued to emerge while Morgan and the people in the big truck distributed boxes of supplies as well as keep up the efforts to contact the other survivors who are missing.

However, one survivor went above and beyond during season 4 episode 13 and was named the episode’s most valuable person. After much consideration, an MVP was named.

The MVP from Fear The Walking Dead 413 is Luciana!

For a while, Luciana was lost in the shuffle after the storm. Previously, she locked herself in a mansion with Strand and listened to records, but got drawn out by Charlie when she attempted to return a book.

Although she didn’t find Charlie, she did find Clayton, a man also known as Polar Bear who drove the semi full of supplies and was distributing the boxes full of supplies at the mile markers to help those in need.

Polar Bear himself was in need of assistance. He was inside a vehicle with some severe wounds. He refused medical attention from Luciana but did have one final request: to taste a beer before he passed away.

In her pursuit of a beer, she came across one of the boxes left behind with the radio channel written on it for those in need of help…and surprisingly a beer inside. While she didn’t call on the radio right away, she made a note of it.

Using an ice pack, she chilled the beer to give to Polar Bear. He happily drank the cold brew and gave Luciana notes on where to find more supplies and other things from the notebooks in the back seat.

She did use the radio, but not to ask for help. Instead, she thanked the people on the other end for leaving behind the beer that allowed her to grant a dying man’s last wish. To her surprise, it turned out to be Morgan on the other end of the radio and they organized a rendezvous.

Not only did Luciana show selflessness, but she also showed appreciation, applying things she has learned from both Nick and Madison before they passed away. It was a nice evolution for the character and one that could make her even more appealing to viewers going forward.
