7) As John spots an infected whilst building his raft, he gripes “I hate the wet ones”. This is a reference to his constant need to kill soggy infected at his cabin in the flashback episode, “Laura”.

8) Strand’s quip about “Losing [his] stomach for boating a while ago” is a reference to The Abigail, the group’s floating home during much of the first half of Season Two, which Strand would eventually burn down after finding it run aground in the Season Three episode, “Children Of Wrath”.

9) Was the car Strand uses as a marker (While deriding the craftsmanship of John’s raft) the car they were using as the hurricane hit? From what we can see (It is nearly submerged, after all), it certainly looks like it…

10) The “instrument of your last safe place’s demise” Strand refers to is Charlie. That said, his assessment that the estate he, Luciana, and Alicia were living in was Paradise is a little…presumptuous, considering the state Alicia and Charlie found it in at the end of the tenth episode, “Close Your Eyes”.

11) John’s assessment of the alligator’s aggressiveness raises a good point: Increased exposure to the infected lessens animals’ natural fear of humans over time.
