The Good Stuff from FearTWD 414

  1. Creating a good villain. To create a good villain, a good reason to do bad things is necessary. The story of the Filthy Woman losing her husband and watching everyone ignore her cries for help was powerful enough to explain why she does what she does in a convincing way to believe her methods.
  2. Guilt in the zombie apocalypse. If you have to use a guilt trip to keep a survivor with you who wants to leave, maybe they just don’t want to be there. However, the combination of saying he owed Morgan and encouraging him to come with them did keep Jim with the group.
  3. Getting June in the hospital. Getting someone with a medical background to a hospital to clean up wounds and tend to the survivors was a great idea. She was able to bandage everyone up after the truck was assaulted by the Filthy Woman in Al’s van. Plus, they got a new wheelchair for Wendell! Score!
  4. Motivating Charlie. There are plenty of reasons Alicia shouldn’t want to help Charlie, but their bonding seems to have helped Charlie come out of her shell and cool the temper of Alicia due to the killing of Nick. It’s hard to forgive for anything that happens so personally, but it seems things are okay for them…for now.
  5. Jim learning to fight for himself. He may only know things about making beer, but he’s also getting stronger by working on his own skills, including killing a walker on his own with a pair of scissors found inside the hospital when Morgan was busy dealing with two of the undead on his own.
  6. Another reunion. Alicia and Charlie appear to have located Strand and John, creating two groups of survivors who are both in situations that need a lot of help if they want to get out of their situations alive. Let’s just hope Alicia and Charlie don’t go for a dip on their ‘beach’.
