Fans learned more about the Filthy Woman last night but it wasn’t enough to get them on her side. They had a lot to say about her and about Fear The Walking Dead “MM 54.”
Fear The Walking Dead’s newest villain has a sad backstory, but fans were not going to let her off the hook. After all everyone in the apocalypse has some kind of tragic story and everyone has lost someone they love. In Fear The Walking Dead “MM 54“ it was revealed that the Filthy Woman’s name is Martha and she wasn’t always the vindictive creepy figure that she is now.
Not that long ago in the apocalypse world she was driving with her husband, Hank, when they had a car accident. Hank was mortally injured. But Martha still tried to stop anyone that was driving by in order to get help for him. No one stopped to help.
Hank died and Martha had to put him down. Then she buried him by digging a grave with her bare hands. When she came across one of Polar Bear’s trucker network dropping supply boxes at the mile markers ending in 4 she killed the trucker. And then started hunting and killing more truckers, because no one had stopped to help her and Hank.
During her attack on the group in the semi she was shot by Wendell, but she managed to escape. And Morgan and the group had to run for an abandoned hospital after the semi exploded. After fighting the walkers inside they made it to the roof but it was revealed that Jim was bit. Alicia and Charlie managed to find Strand and John Dorie though, which was a little happiness that fans needed after an emotionally intense episode. Here’s what fans were saying about the events of “MM 54”:
That's a terrible way to lose your husband. #FearTWD @FearTWD

#FearTWD sandals and socks? Man she is evil

Honestly this woman’s backstory is sad but instead of letting it make her stronger and help people, it turned her vindictive and that makes me have no remorse #FearTWD

She's crazy as hell but I can see why she ended up that way. Desperately trying to get help, being ignored, husband dies, turns, she puts him down, digs a grave with her bare hands. Helpful person arrived far too late. It would break a lot of people

Alicia has her own agenda, she's lost everyone she ever loved. PTSD is serious, and she needs some Mo-Mo guidance right now. #FearTWD
