Our panel digs into the Filthy Woman’s backstory and more from Fear The Walking Dead’s latest episode MM 54.

Martha, the Filthy Woman, has a pretty tragic backstory it turns out. Her husband died as a result of injuries from a horrific car accident and the few people that went by wouldn’t stop to help when she tried to flag them down. After her husband Hank died she had to put him down and then dig a grave for him with her bare hands. So it’s a little more understandable now why she is the way she is. However, does that excuse her killing innocent people? As Morgan has pointed out all lives are precious in the apocalypse.

In Fear The Walking Dead “MM 54” Morgan and the others managed to survive an attack by the Filthy Woman, who fled after Wendall shot her in the shoulder. But the group was surrounded by walkers when the took shelter in an old hospital. They managed to make it safely to the roof thanks to Althea who got the emergency generator working long enough so that they could get safely to the roof. But now they are trapped on the roof, and the others are looking to Morgan to get them out of the hospital and on their way to safety in Alexandria. During the struggle to get the roof Jim was bitten, so now he’s on borrowed time and the group is in a desperate place physically and mentally.

This week our panel delves into the Filthy Woman’s backstory, whether a tragic past mitigates terrible behavior in the present, and what qualities you might need to survive in the apocalypse:
