Talking Dead will have a packed couch for The Walking Dead season premiere
Chris Hardwick revealed the members of The Walking Dead cast who will join him on the couch after the season 9 premiere on October 7.
There will be a packed couch on Talking Dead when five special guests join Chris Hardwick following the season 9 premiere of The Walking Dead. With such a huge guest list, it’s going to be an amazing episode of Talking Dead.
Joining Hardwick on October 7 are Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Greg Nicotero and new showrunner Angela Kang. It’s quite a lineup, to be sure, but one befitting such a big moment for the series. Kang appeared on the preview show back in August and thrilled fans with some major revelations about season 9, so it will be fun to see her dissecting the season premiere, which she wrote.
With the time jump, new cast members and all of the changes coming to season 9 there will be no end of things for this group to discuss. The big news, of course, will be Andrew Lincoln’s departure, but there are plenty of other things that will have the fans talking.
Though Lincoln won’t be on Talking Dead, the original cast will be well represented with Reedus and McBride. With Lennie James on companion series Fear the Walking Dead, after Lincoln’s departure Reedus and McBride will be the final characters from season 1 left on the show as a new post-Rick Grimes era begins.
Some fans might be surprised that Andrew Lincoln won’t be making an appearance, but it makes sense given that it would be more appropriate for him to show up to celebrate Rick’s final episode. October 7 is already a busy weekend for The Walking Dead cast as they celebrate the season 9 premiere during New York Comic Con, followed by Walker Stalker Con Atlanta the following weekend.
The season premiere of The Walking Dead is October 7 and Talking Dead will air immediately following the supersized episode.
