Fear The Walking Dead this week has a lot of action and emotion as the group reunited. Our panel breaks down what happened and what could be next for the survivors in the season finale.

It’s hard to believe that Fear The Walking Dead “I Lose People” was the second last episode of the season. Season 4 has been a huge turnaround and a huge success for The Walking Dead spinoff that struggled for a season or two. This season the mix of characters and the interesting new storylines have made Fear The Walking Dead an epic show worthy of being in The Walking Dead universe.

But in “I Lose People” there were some hair-raising moments where it looked like some characters other than Jim wouldn’t survive. Jim was bitten in 414 but managed to redeem himself with his death in 415, much like Merle redeemed himself before he died to give the survivors a chance in The Walking Dead.

A lot of fans noticed a similarity between Fear The Walking Dead “I Lose People” and early episodes of The Walking Dead, and not just because the group was trapped on a roof. At the end of the episode, the entire group reunited and put their conflicts aside to truly become a cohesive group that has the loyalty to each other necessary to survive in that world. Madison would be proud of them.

But in order to save Morgan from the roof, they had to pull off a daring escape plan that included Morgan rappelling down the side of the hospital to get to the fire truck’s extension ladder. And surrounded by walkers the group desperately needed a distraction that would allow them to get clear.

Jim, who maintained his selfish jerk status throughout the rooftop wait with Morgan, had a change of heart. He gave Sarah the beer recipe and then flung himself from the top of the roof to a car on the street to set off the car alarm and draw the walkers away so the group could get away. It was a big sacrifice for Jim, and our panel has a lot to say about events from “I Lose People”:
