Fear the Walking Dead 416 recap: I Lose Myself
Al tapes a message asking the person who finds the tapes to keep them safe and make sure they matter. Sarah asks Wendell what their final count is but Wendell says not enough. Strand jokes that he thought he tried to stop drinking himself to death and now he’s dying. Luciana wanted to make up for what they did. Alicia tried to be a better person and Charlie got to see the beach.
Suddenly there’s the sound of a truck. The walkers go away at the sound. Morgan runs in and they’re happy to see him. He asks if ethanol is a fancy word for alcohol. He made a stop on the way. Morgan picked up Jim’s beer along the way.

Now feeling much better, Sarah jokes that Jim’s beer saved them all. She lifts her beer in a salute to Jim. Strand tells Alicia that he didn’t think he had a drinking partner anymore. Now he does. John tells Charlie that drinking beer is a one time deal. June laughs that she was poisoned, so he warns that she can’t be poisoned again until she’s 21. Luciana laughs at the beer sign and says she understand why this is what Jim wanted.
Morgan washes his face. We’re back to where he started this journey. Later, they drive past the place where he left Filthy Woman only to find that her arm is still attached to the car, but Walker Martha is out walking along the road. He kills her and buries her nearby.
As they sit and watch him bury her, Wendell asks if they can leave for Alexandria now, but Morgan says he’s not going there. He says that Martha was the way she was because no one helped her. Luciana still has Polar Bear’s journals.
The group walks through a fence into a field. Morgan says that Polar Bear built a supply warehouse in an old denim factory. He set up his shop there because it’s out of the way. It’s surrounded by a river. Wendell says this wasn’t part of the deal, but Luciana tells Sarah and Wendell that they can make up for what happened to Clayton this way. Alicia says that they can honor her mother by making this a place to be, and to help people. Al says she has tapes of people out there who need help. They look at Al, who smiles. “What? I’ve got layers,” she laughs.
The new crew rolls up in their new reinforced trucks. They have the SWAT van, a truck and a big rig full of supplies. They’re stocked up and ready to hit the road. Morgan gets on the radio and tells people to hang in there, because they’re coming for them.
