Melissa McBride gave some insight as to what is coming up for Carol in season 9 at The Walking Dead panel at New York Comic Con.

The Walking Dead held its annual panel at New York Comic Con at Madison Square Garden where members of the cast gathered to promote the show’s ninth season. Melissa McBride was among the cast members who attended the panel and shared with the fans some very exciting news about what Carol will be up to in season 9:

"“I will eventually have scenes with people I haven’t yet…Carol makes friends this season.”"

It’s going to be so great seeing Carol share scenes with other characters who she hasn’t as yet. This was definitely something that a lot of fans were hoping to see from Carol in season 9.

If Melissa’s tease wasn’t exciting enough, Danai Gurira responded to the news by saying:

"“I’m so excited!”"

This is very hopeful that Carol and Michonne will finally have some great scenes together! They are both incredibly strong and fierce women who will make such a great team!

Showrunner Angela Kang has been saying that season 9 will heavily focus on the women, and a building a friendship between Carol and Michonne could be a huge part of what she was talking about!

The Walking Dead has the most incredible female characters on the television who can both kick butt and show their sensitive sides, and it’s finally time that they get to shine together as warriors and as friends on the popular AMC zombie survival drama series in season 9.
