Talking Dead returns to its live format starting with The Walking Dead 902; tickets for the live shows are listed through November 4.
There’s nothing better than a good discussion of The Walking Dead and that’s why fans tune in to Talking Dead following each episode. Though it was designed to be a live show, Talking Dead was pre-taped for most of Fear the Walking Dead season 4 as well as the season premiere of The Walking Dead. Starting October 14 the show returns to its live format and tickets to be in the studio audience have been released.
Talking Dead, hosted by Chris Hardwick, is a place for fans of The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead to discuss the show and decompress after heavy-hitting episodes. It’s also a great place to find members of the cast chatting about the show or saying goodbye after meeting a tragic end.
Some fans were left wondering why Talking Dead didn’t address Scott Wilson’s death during the October 7 premiere show, and that’s because the episode was taped. (Expect to see a fitting and proper tribute on the October 14 episode of Talking Dead)
It’s hard to tell the show is taped because the show still engages fans on social media during the broadcast, but there’s no question the show is better when it’s live and fans can engage with it. Live shows allow for callers with topical questions about the episode, polls, games and other social media interaction.
1iota, the company that provides Talking Dead with audience members, posted taping dates through November 4 on their site Monday afternoon and the tickets were snatched up quickly. You can still sign up to be on the waitlist, though, and you will be notified via email as soon as tickets become available. (During this past season of Fear the Walking Dead I was on the waitlist the entire time and tickets became available on two occasions, so it’s entirely possible to secure tickets even if you’re not confirmed from the start)
The guests for the October 14 show include Katelyn Nacon and Tom Payne, which should be a lot of fun.
