The Walking Dead continues with season 9 episode 2, “The Bridge” Here’s what you need to know to watch on TV and online.
With communities spread all over a relatively large geographic area, roads are more important than ever in The Walking Dead. Repairing the bridge can help cut travel times and make it so that supplies can travel back and forth more effectively than taking a more indirect route. That’s why all of the communities are working to fix the bridge, but having members of all of the groups together in one place is a surefire way to ignite tension.
Here’s the episode description of The Walking Dead “The Bridge” from AMC:
“The communities join forces to restore a bridge that will facilitate communication and trade. Someone is gravely injured at the construction site.”
The audience saw the bridge repair in the season premiere, but it’s unclear what happened to it other than it was washed out. It’s entirely possible that the hurricane that wreaked havoc on Fear the Walking Dead in season 4 could have continued along the Gulf and traveled North to Virginia. A storm that size could definitely do some damage.
The sneak peek of episode 902 revealed a conversation between Rick and Alden about security for the residents of the Sanctuary. They’re unarmed and several members of the community have gone missing in recent weeks, so that’s another challenge facing Rick as he tries to keep everyone happy.
