New couples, a shocking loss for Aaron, and Officer Friendly not taking sass from The Saviors led to some big reactions from fans about The Walking Dead’s latest episode.

The second episode of season 9 of The Walking Dead had some strong emotions, both positive and negative. Maggie had a heart to heart with Earl that made her realize there were a lot of similarities between Earl and her father. Ultimately she decided to give Earl another chance. She told Michonne that if Hershel hadn’t been given another chance after his drinking days a lot of people would have suffered as a result. So she’s giving the same chance to Earl.

Michonne and Maggie had some intense moments too as Michonne pleaded for Maggie to send food to The Sanctuary even though The Saviors delivery of ethanol hadn’t made it to The Hilltop yet. At first Maggie refused, but eventually she softened and sent the food that The Sanctuary workers need.

There isn’t that same kind of good will for The Saviors that are working at the bridge though. Tensions flared after Savior Justin took more than his share of water and almost attacked Henry. Justin also didn’t come through by sounding a siren that was set up to redirect a herd and that herd attacked the bridge workers.

The herd attack set off a chain of events that ended up with Aaron losing his arm. Daryl attacked Justin for being a menace to the others. Even though some of The Saviors tried to intervene and keep the peace, as well as Carol, Rick ultimately stepped in and kicked Justin out. As Justin was leaving the camp he came across someone that he knew who killed him, although who it was couldn’t be seen. There were some big moments in this episode, like Enid having to amputate Aaron’s arm and a new relationship between Father Gabriel and Jadis/Anne. So of course fans had some big reactions:
