Enid had her breakout moment during season 9 episode 2 of The Walking Dead by stepping up to save Aaron’s life.

Enid has been around with the rest of the survivors for quite some time now but in Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead titled “The Bridge”,  Enid leveled up by finding her important role within the community.

Enid has been getting medical training from Siddiq and has been helping to treat the injuries of various survivors within the communities. In this episode, Enid is seen stitching a hand wound on Cyndie when Rick Grimes comes to check up on the newest medic in training.

Rick tells Siddiq that Enid will have her “chance” at really showing off her best efforts, and that moment came very soon for Enid in this episode.

Aaron suffered a gruesome crushed arm injury after his arm was trapped under a fallen log, and it was Dr. Enid to the rescue to get Aaron’s arm amputated.

With Siddiq being called back to Alexandria to treat other survivors, Enid had to amputate Aaron’s arm all on her own, and just like Rick said, Enid finally had her big moment.

Katelyn Nacon appeared on Talking Dead after the episode and had a lot to say about Enid’s big moment:

"Enid is finally finding her place in this community and is taking on a huge event. She is amputating Aaron’s arm who is like a brother to her."

Nacon also shared that she was taught by medical professionals the proper way to amputate an arm just to film that scene. She joked that she actually didn’t do it correctly on-screen because you are supposed to cut above the wound to allow new skin to grow over the wound.

It’s really great that now the community will have another medic around to tend to people’s wounds and injuries. Siddiq cannot handle everyone at once, especially when he is needed in other places so it’s nice to know that Enid will be around to help out.

Enid has always been such a great character on the show so it’s nice to see her finally getting more screen time and a bigger role in the show.
