Overall impression from TWD 903

For those who were able to avoid the spoilers for this episode of The Walking Dead, the reveal that it was the ladies of Oceanside behind the murder of the people at The Sanctuary was pretty shocking, but completely logical as far as plot goes.

Adding to the mix is the situation with Maggie, turning her eye to murder because the killers appealed to her emotions. Plus, her inability to let go of what happened with Glenn should continue to be a catalyst for the plot for many more episodes…especially with Daryl by her side.

Diving deeper, what is Anne’s real relationship with the people she was talking to on the walkie-talkie and was she using Father Gabriel to get another sacrifice or did she truly start to have feelings for him?

This episode had a lot of moving parts, which flowed nicely compared to some of the episodes from the past two seasons. The flow of the episode answered some questions while others popped up and left more looming for future episodes.

The combination of visuals, music, atmosphere, and acting were all pulled together nicely, giving fans an episode that should convince even the most doubtful of viewers that AMC’s zombie drama is getting back on the right page.

EPISODE GRADE: 8.7/10
