Father Gabriel is still out cold. He’s tied up, and Anne dabs cool water on his forehead before kissing him. There’s a walker with a bucket on its head. He wakes up and says she doesn’t have to do this, but she says that doing this is the price of admission for where she wants to go. She tried changing but it didn’t work. Gabriel was able to change, but she couldn’t. He says he’s better because of her. She apologizes but she still removes the bucket and lowers the walker closer to him. Gabriel forgives her for whatever she has to do. Before he can be bitten he forgives her, so she takes the walker away. She uses a rag to choke him.

Carol gives everyone instructions to pack up the camp. Jed walks up with a gun and reveals that Alden wasn’t fast enough. Carol wants them to drop the weapons. Jed knows that Oceanside killed the Saviors and now there is war. He tells Carol she’s not the boss anymore, she’s a weak woman who got lucky. She lowers her gun and he approaches to take her keys. As he walks past she kicks him and grabs the gun. A gun fight breaks out.

Daryl and Rick hear the shots and know that they’re coming from the camp. They work together to get out of the hole but it’s not easy. They’re pretty stuck.

Back in Alexandria Michonne slams the books on the table. Negan’s words hit her hard. She can’t focus on the charter, so she looks over at her katana. After a few moments she gets up and takes the food back to Negan. He admits he didn’t want to piss her off. She never came to see him, and he says that they’re the same person and she can’t stand it. She agrees they do what needs to be done to get by, but he enjoys being evil. She is stronger because of the dead. She lost her sons but the world will be better for her daughter. Negan decides that she’s afraid she’ll end up like him, with everyone gone. She says he needs to eat, and he obliges by taking the sandwich. Before she leaves he wants to ask her. He says there are things they hold onto when there is nothing else. Michonne realizes that he thinks she’s his last option. He wants to see Lucille, and when she says they don’t have it he starts to lose it. She leaves and Negan starts pacing , then he starts bashing his head into the wall.
