There were intense moments and a shocking end in last night’s The Walking Dead and fans had a lot to say about the events of “The Obliged”.
It’s hard to believe that there is only one more episode of The Walking Dead that will have Rick Grimes in it. Fans have already started saying goodbye and preparing themselves for next week’s farewell episode. But this week’s episode had a shocking ending that made fans question how Rick Grimes will exit the series.
Many people have assumed that he will be written out in some way and that the character won’t die. But Rick suffered a critical injury last night after being thrown from a horse that may well cause his death. It’s a good thing Rick and Daryl made up after their big fight just in case Rick doesn’t pull through.
Meanwhile back in Alexandria Michonne was having some emotionally charged conversations with Negan trying to get him to eat. He tried his best to manipulate her into letting him see Lucille but Michonne saw right through his attempts and happily told him that no one knew where Lucille was. Michonne also talked about her sons Carl and Andre and her daughter Judith, which gave fans a lot of feelings.
And Maggie headed for Alexandria to kill Negan, which is what set off the fight between Rick and Daryl. Daryl deliberately took Rick away from Alexandria to keep him from intercepting Maggie because he wants Maggie to kill Negan as justice for Glenn and Abe. The entire episode was filled with emotional callbacks and callouts and fans loved it:

These last few episodes have been MILES better than the last few seasons and I feel we have been robbed of potentially amazing stories and performances (looking at you Gimple) #twd #sheriffkingwidow

Entranced by @wwwbigbaldhead genius as he invokes the names of precious family that traveled with them from the start. And the way he takes the burden of Rick's oppressive grief upon himself, assuring Rick it's okay. To let go. Carl can never be lost. He lives in them forever.
