The Walking Dead panel discussion: The Obliged

We Need To Talk About That Moment
What was your favorite moment from this jam packed episode?
Sonya says:
"It’s really difficult to pick a favorite moment from this episode. I think my favorite moment is Rick leading the herd on the white horse. There’s something so iconic about that. The archetype of the hero on a white horse facing danger and saving those he loves. It’s a beautiful moment for Rick Grimes and it feels very much like an appropriate ending for him."
Sara says:
"My favorite moment was the emotional conversation that Rick and Daryl had while being stuck in the hole. Rick and Daryl have never shared such a heartfelt and emotional conversation between eachother before. There was a lot of tension built between them for a while and this moment was so needed between the both of them. They have a huge amount of respect and love for eachother and it’s so much stronger than any disagreements they may have had. That human connection is what makes the show so great."
Jeffrey says:
"My favorite moment of the episode is definitely the conversation between Rick and Daryl in the hole. They both said exactly what they needed to and laid everything out on the table. Trust and honesty is exactly what their relationship is built upon. Daryl telling Rick, “I’d die for you…and I would have died for Carl” is perfect. No matter how much they disagree, Rick and Daryl are brothers until the very end."
Sarabeth says:
"I loved seeing Rick ride off to save the day. What happened next was totally unexpected, but I watched that moment and realized how that’s exactly who he is. To see him fall afterwards left me speechless."
