A big comic nod. It’s crazy how far ahead the show jumped for the interaction between Negan and Maggie, but it still worked in a huge way. That happened in episode 174 of the comics, while the storyline right now is around issue 127. A crazy difference but still worked!
Seeing Hershel Green again!The Walking Dead fans were hit hard by the passing of Scott Wilson, but knowing he was going to appear in this episode was both wonderful and sad at the same time. It was great seeing Hershel back, even if this will be the final time he is seen on the show. Thank goodness for watching old episodes!
No, it’s just dusty in here. Alright, so I’m a grown man, but even I am sitting here watching this episode with tears in my eyes. Everything Rick did to protect his family included sacrificing himself, and the reactions from Michonne and the rest of the survivors to the explosion was hugely emotional. Maybe it was some Space Junk in my eye.
