12) Daryl using walker corpses as a step stool may be the first time a living person’s used a walker for that purpose in either Walking Dead show.

13) Daryl having to climb a steep slope while reaching for his “brother” is reminiscent of Daryl’s attempt to climb a similar slope (While reaching out for a hallucination of Merle) in the Season Two episode, “Chupacabra”.

14) Where did Anne disappear to? Did she go with the helicopter group?

15) It’s something of a sad coincidence that Daryl should have reminded Rick about Glenn saving him earlier in the episode, as by the end, Rick finds himself in a situation similar to the one Glenn found him in in Atlanta in the pilot episode, “Days Gone Bye”: Alone, separated from his horse, being encroached upon by hundreds of walkers he turned a corner and ran into.

16) This episode likely gets its name from Rick, who feels obliged to hold up principles (And gets hurt in the process) for others, including Carl.
